NLP practitioners love TPManagement because...
It takes familiar NLP concepts to another level providing processes, principles, enhancements and guidance to work very elegantly.
"It's such a light yet profound way to work that is incredibly effective"
"TPM provides fantastic tools for working with clients who may resist change or are sceptical about letting anything work at a deeper level."
"What's amazing is the completeness and speed. When I teach clients single memory clear up or chained memory clear up or moving something in their Mental landscape, even it it's something that has had a hold on them for years - after the process it's completely gone. When I ask them about it - its not the case of 'Oh it feels better now' it's that it's gone completely, they have no emotional or physical response or reaction to it at all. It becomes matter of fact in a way that's such a transformation"

KEY BENEFITS
TPM helps you become an even better practitioner
Work more quickly, easily and effectively with clients when you engage their Unconscious mind to source and resolve challenges, working within the deeper structures of how they organise and use information.
Work content-free
TPM teaches the Unconscious mind processes to use on itself. This allows change to truly occur content-free.
Many years of research yet simple to use
TPM processes and principles bring together many years of study and application yet Robert Fletcher keeps TPM simple and accessible. There is very little TPM jargon to get your head around.
TPM is built on ecology
You work in partnership with the client and their unconscious mind. Your clients unconscious mind drives ecology.
Solutions come from your Client's Unconscious Mind
Even though most unresolved issues are at the unconscious level, the Unconscious is also tasked with finding resolution. This not only empowers your client, but also takes the pressure and responsibility off the practitioner to come up with all the answers.
Overcome resistance and reduce sabotage
TPM is so gentle yet powerful at overcoming resistance and gaining a deeper level of communication and permission with the Unconscious Mind. This is crucial when clients want to make a change but a part of them (or a metaprogram involving the world being dangerous) is alerted which might otherwise sabotage their progress.
You can work in new contexts you might not have considered
TPM can be applied to resolve sources of mental and physical conditions way beyond normal expectations. Robert is well known for his work with stroke victims, bringing clients out of coma, pain control, fast recovery from injury etc. You gain tools to work safely in these contexts. You are only limited by your beliefs and your client's (vast!) unconscious mind.
Never mind eliciting meta-programs, TPM helps change them!
Having greater flexibility is one of the key principles of success in NLP - TPM gives tools to increase flexibility in the metaprograms which shape our favoured behaviour patterns or personality.
Enjoy using your intuition
Trusting your instincts and going with the flow is part of the art of being a Thought Pattern Management Chef ( as opposed to a cook). NLP practitioners who like to be in the moment with their clients and to be creative in combining processes together will love TPM.
TPM is creative and asks 'what if?'
NLP practitioners who are interested in WHAT IF or WHAT's NEXT? are encouraged to develop TPM further. Once you know the tools and principles there are no bounds with what is possible.
How does TPM integrate with NLP?
NLPers will find their NLP training to be of great use. Many of the key skills are similar and any experience you have gained will be hugely valuable. TPM is often seen as the 'next step' in NLP, taking many of the attitudes and techniques to another level.
Essentially TPM teaches the unconscious mind of your client to become the practitioner. Given that the unconscious mind is far larger and works far quicker than the conscious mind, the amount covered in a single session is vast and results are often startling.
NLPers will find subtle differences to NLP such as how, when and where to anchor. We encourage NLPers to be open to even more effective ways of achieving results. TPM automates processes by teaching the client's unconscious mind to resolve inner conflict. Training in NLP is very helpful although not essential to the study of TPM.
In NLP we know the map is not the territory and we know that how we think about the map affects our state. Often the feeling comes instantly and only later do we think about it. TPM enables us to change the way our body responds to the interpretation of the map, working at the fastest and deepest structures of memory management in an ecological, often content free manner.

TPM takes 'content-free' to another level. By teaching a process to the unconscious mind, the Unconscious mind is empowered to resolve issues itself, using the newly-learnt process. Cleverly, the UCM can then apply the same process to similar memories and events, most beyond our conscious perception.
Safety First As the unconscious mind tracks source memories at the unconscious level. It changes the structure of the memories ensuring there is no risk of triggering emotionally charged bodily responses. Sub modalities are used in TPM in new ways 'Mental landscape' brings a new dimension to working with clients which massive possibilities for increasing motivation, changing habits, changing relationship dynamics, goal setting, being resourceful, storage of doubts, old beliefs, critical or supportive thinking and so much more. Mental Landscaping techniques allow the clients unconscious mind to format the submodalities of mental geography in the optimal ecological way for the client.
TPM provides new ways to work with identity and beliefs.
Identity hugely influences the filters we use even to the point of what we see in our reality and how our body functions.
TPM provides new understanding of how the different brain hemispheres and body store information on our self image, self esteem and self value. New processes can then be tailored to enhance each of these for clients.
It includes twists and ingenious enhancements to familiar NLP concepts including anchoring, giving resources, parts integration and dissociation.
Gain a comprehensive set of tools to work with health conditions TPM brings new perspectives to the connections between our thought processes, how we store memories and our health. Practitioners can work in new ways with clients to overcome patterns which have otherwise been difficult to shift. (Please note The TPM tools to work with health matters do not require practitioners to have understanding of the body's complex anatomy, neurology or chemical systems because its our own body that runs them. We do not diagnose or treat any symptoms.)
In a similar way to Time Line Therapy™, Thought Pattern Management™ helps the Unconscious mind to get to the source of trigger events, traumas and decisions which may be unknown consciously. TPM however, differs from time line in a number of ways including how single and multiple memories are reviewed.
Keeping the client safe is one of the highest principles of TPM and Robert Fletcher developed TPM processes to make as safe as possible for the client to not associate into any difficult situations that they may not have had the resources to deal with at the time.
TPM + NLP share some Ericsonian principles
NLP evolved from the modelling of Milton Ericsson who believed you achieve better results when you work totally in the clients map of the world (though he probably didn't call it that in those days). TPM also works in the clients world. Robert Fletcher trained in Ericsonain and other types of hypnosis and makes great use of clients metaphors in TPM practice.
TPM can change meta-programs or personality traits.
In TPM we understand the impact meta programs have on peoples behaviour and how they filter the world. This is important when you are building rapport and helping clients establish trust in their own unconscious mind. Danger filters have a big impact on what is possible for clients. TPM teaches how to increase flexibility in clients meta programs. (Part of this is included in practitioner training, with more detailed exercises covered in more advanced training).
